Several real estate agents reached out to us in regards to our property in Irvine. We also have friends and family in the business.
We selected Matthew to represent us, because he took the time to build a relationship and prove his trustworthiness. We have been in touch since (at least) April of 2014. That's 3.5 years before the property sold. Many real estate careers don't last this long.
Matthew knew our exit strategy, and could have made his job very easy. He could have listed the property "as is", and easily achieve our objective. Instead, he took on the responsibility of a project manager, and completed a remodel that included flooring, countertops, cabinets, plumbing, and paint.
As a result, we sold our property for a lot more than we had in mind. To give you an idea, our sales price was almost $50k higher than that of a very, very similar comparable property. Our property hit the market AFTER the other did, and closed BEFORE the other one did. This proves Matthew's expertise and his ability to take on calculated risks.
The time under contract was not easy. The deal almost fell through several times (on both sides), yet Matthew knew how to navigate each situation and close the deal.
